Astronomie ohne Teleskop: März 2018

In dieser Blogartikelserie gebe ich eine Vorschau von astronomischen Ereignissen und Konstellationen, die ohne Teleskop betrachtet werden können. D.h. es werden nur das bloße Auge oder ein Fernglas benötigt.

Bitte beachten:

Vom Sonntag, den 25. März 02 Uhr bis zum Sonntag, den 28. Oktober gilt die Mitteleuropäische Sommerzeit (MESZ). Die Uhrzeiten in diesem Artikel versehe ich daher mit dem Zusatz MEZ (Winterzeit) bzw. MESZ.

Der Goldene Henkel vom Mond am 25.02.18 – Wettlauf mit den Wolken

Nach Monaten der Abstinenz hauptsächlich durch extrem schlechte Wetterlagen zeigte sich heute schon die zweite Möglichkeit einer astronomischen Betrachtung nach der Aldebaranbedeckung vom vergangenen Freitag. Der ganze Tag zeigte sich arm an Wolken. Und zum Beginn des Sonnenuntergangs erstrahlte der Mond an wolkenlosem Himmel. Also beste Voraussetzungen für die Betrachtung des Goldenen Henkels auf dem Mond. Was diesen Phänomen ist, wird z.B. hier, hier und hier erklärt.

Doch schon beim Aufbau auf der Terrasse folgt die Ernüchterung: eine Wolkenbank, die mit größerer Geschwindigkeit Richtung Mond zieht. Also beginnt ein Wettlauf gegen das Wetter. Für das Teleskop ist es zu spät, so dass Plan B genügen muss. Fernglas,  sowie Stativ- als auch Smartphone Adapter für Ferngläser wurden schnell zusammengebaut und ausgerichtet:

Mond bedeckt den Aldebaran am 23.02.18 und weitere Mondimpressionen

Heute war für Hobbyastronomen in Mittel- und Nordeuropa für einen langen Zeitraum die letzte Gelegenheit, die Bedeckung des Aldebaran durch den Mond mitzuerleben. Erst im Jahre 2033 wird die Bahn des Mondes so verlaufen, dass dieses Ereignis hier wieder beobachtbar sein wird. Und ich hatte Glück. Nach Monaten der Abstinenz aufgrund schlechten Wetters konnte ich wieder eine Teleskopbeobachtung durchführen.
