Die Trophäen des Herakles – Teil 4: Sternbild Drache (Draco)

Dies ist der letzte Teil meiner Sternbild-Serie „Die Trophäen des Herakles“. Darin gehe ich auf mythologische Figuren der griechischen Antike ein, die schlechte Erfahrungen mit dem griechischen Helden Herakles (Herkules) gemacht haben.

Wir erinnern uns: Herakles musste eine Reihe von Aufgaben bestehen und reiste dafür in der (damals in Griechenland bekannten) Welt herum. Siehe hierzu meinen Blogartikel „Herkules – Schwerstarbeiter und tragischer Held“. Herkules musste zwölf Aufgaben erfüllen, in deren Verlauf der Held etliche Tiere und Monster besiegen musste. Einige davon finden sich als Sternbild wieder und werden in dieser Serie behandelt:

Des weiteren werden die Stymphalischen Vögel von Herkules besiegt. Diese sind allerdings heute kein offizielles Sternbild. Die sie betreffenden Sterne finden sich im Adler, dem Schwan und der Leier. Der Adler gehört einer Interpretation mit der Geschichte des Prometheus nach auch zu den von Herakles getöteten Kreaturen.
